estoy en argentina

hola chicos!  i'm in rosario, argentina, home of che guevara, and i have been here for a few days. rosario is known for its riverside beaches, river parks, and the flag monument. it's the birthplace of the argentine light blue and white flag. i'm taking my afternoon yerba mate tea and munching on vanilla galletas.

today, i bought yerba mate, a nice silver and wood gourd, and the drinking straw. i'm going to go shopping at "akibara" now, a japanese shop? who knows and cruise the rosario alto shopping mall. i'm going to post some pictures tonight.  i came back from the iguazu falls, which were incredible, and tomorrow i'm returning back to bullshit aires, oops buenos aires!

indian film festival

the indian film festival of los angeles is coming soon, april 22-27, 2008 at the arclight hollywood cinemas.

i wonder which movies i shall watch?

the latest exhibiton at moca is allan kaprow: art as life

his philosophy is art is play, art is life, art is social interaction and its awkward moments.

i went to the exhibition opening with some friends and he had an "apple area" where you can eat apples, draw on apples, shred paper, make shredded paper cushions, cut fabric, sit on an apple chair, and play with serpents.

it was really, really fun.

allan kaprow created "happenings" all over southern california, where he created art with friends by doing something and re-creating it.

the funniest happening at moca is going to be paul mccarthy and the curator, phillip kaiser, will "wash" the director's infinity with saliva and q-tips.  i'm not sure when it's going to happen, but it's going to happen.

the show is now onview at the geffen contemporary, little tokyo.

i feel like i haven't been out much lately. i'm going to watch the horse races in santa anita this saturday, after all, i live in temple city, and i'm so close to arcadia.  time to study the horses...

on family mart...

no kats at family mart

In Lil Tokyo, LA on 1st Street and Central Ave we have a Family Mart and here's what Ish said on it:

ish: "The Family Mart in Lil Tokyo sucks."

moi: "Of course it does!  The Family Mart, if you've ever stepped into it, is like a naughty grandma's kitchen closet - there's Pocky sticks, salad sticks, panda choco snacks, Calpis, and then if you go further, stubby rubber dildo keychains, hentai trading cards, and mysterious oils!"

ish:  "Famima's opening up North..."

LA trend reports a-coming - i wonder if i should keep my blogs or change to uber.com?

voyeur on my neighbor

update:

i'm going voyeur on my neighbor as she has an incredibly beautiful eye-popping sakura tree on her front lawn.  its bright fuschia and although it burns my eyes, i think it's beautiful in the sun, under my beige tinted sunglasses.

my aunts and uncles went to the huntington library and gardens last weekend, and alerted me that the sakuras are blooming there.  i can't wait to go this weekend. if i can't be in japan to see this, i'll find a way somehow to do hanami.

anyone in LA want to come to my hanami party?

my LA trend report deadline is today.

my cherry candle still smells good.
